Junior | Junior swimmers are ready for three times a week, building their fitness and stamina while maintaining a focus on stroke development. | 3 x 60 minutes | Silicone CSSSC cap (provided), googles, CSSSC shirt (provided), training swimsuit. Some swimmers choose to have their own pull buoy, kickboard, and fins, although these are available at the pool. |
Intermediate | Once swimmers achieve their required time standard of below 4 minutes for a 200 IM race, they can become competitive and swim in the intermediate group. Focus is less on stroke development and more on racing and fitness. Coach recommendation required. | 4 x 60-90 minutes | Silicone CSSSC cap (provided), googles, CSSSC shirt (provided), training swimsuit. Some swimmers choose to have their own pull buoy, kickboard, and fins, although these are available at the pool. Some swimmers choose to race in a training suit, others choose to purchase a racing suit. Parent/swimmer choice. |
Senior | Our highest level of competition, these swimmers are attending many away meets and are focused on racing strategy, preparation, speed, and fitness. Coach recommendation required. | 7 x 90-120 minutes | Silicone CSSSC cap (provided), googles, CSSSC shirt (provided), training swimsuit. Most swimmers choose to have their own pull buoy, kickboard, and fins, although these are available at the pool as well. Some swimmers choose to race in a training suit, others choose to purchase a racing suit. Parent/swimmer choice. |
